This pay-what-you-can group aims to be a more affordable and accessible option for those wanting to learn the basics of gender- and identity-affirming voice modification.

Over the course of six weeks, you will walk away with a strong foundation to start your journey towards using an authentic voice. Topics covered incude:

  • Basics of anatomy & physiology

  • Common vocabulary

  • How to get started finding your "target voice"

  • Tips to build good practice habits

  • Pitch modification

  • Resonance exploration

  • Changing vocal weight

  • Adapting prosody/cadence/intonation

  • Plus, Q&A with a speech-language pathologist specialized in gender-affirming voice

At the end of the six weeks, if you feel like you need more support, send us a message to set up some 1:1 sessions.

*Suggested rates are for the entire 6-week program, NOT per session. Participation in this group is pay-what-you-can. This means you will receive one email outlining payment options, and that's the end of that. If the community rate is still inaccessible to you, that's fine - you are still welcome! These rates are all just suggestions.

Important Note: This group is very intentionally not "voice therapy". This means you cannot submit the price of sessions to your insurance for reimbursement. This also means you do not need to be a Washington state resident to participate.
