Providing Gender-Affirming Voice Therapy (for SLPs and voice professionals)
This offering helps support speech-language pathologists and other voice professionals to begin (or continue) working with transgender and gender-diverse clients when providing gender-affirming voice therapy. There is no specific or prescribed curriculum, as this offering is meant to provide support to whatever degree each individual needs - whether you are just getting started thinking about these services or need support in more nuanced and specific areas. Topics covered can include (but are not limited to):​

Cultural considerations of working with transgender and gender-diverse clients (& how intersections with other marginalized identities influences treatment)

Foundations of voice intervention and possible targets/goal areas with gender-affirming voice therapy

Administering a comprehensive, identity-affirming, and client-centered assessment regardless of setting

Writing client-centered and identity-affirming S.M.A.R.T. treatment goals

Creating an Inclusive Clinical Space
This offering helps support individuals to create and maintain an environment that is inclusive and accommodating. It can be customized to work with those in a position of leadership hoping to create an inclusive and affirming workspace for employees, practice owners striving to create a practice accommodating for all people, or clinicians looking to modify traditional therapy practices to meet their clients where they are at. Topics covered can include (but are not limited to):

Comprehensive Gender-Affirming Voice Care
(for SLPs and voice professionals)
Clare offers consulting and mentorship for speech-language pathologists, students, and other voice professionals to provide comprehensive and functional gender-affirming voice therapy.
They have extensive experience supervising students and presenting on voice topics with a judgment-free and encouraging approach. Clare provides a flexible, creative, and adaptive space that is tailored to the strengths, skills, and preferences of the learner. Their goal is not to create little Clare clones, but to provide support for developing your own unique clinical style.
