Executive Function Coaching
What even IS "executive function"?
According to a 2012 article from the Handbook of Clinical Neurology, "Executive functions (EFs) include high-order cognitive abilities such as working memory, inhibitory control, cognitive flexibility, planning, reasoning, and problem solving. EFs enable humans to achieve goals, adapt to novel everyday life situations, and manage social interactions."
Who is it for?
Executive function coaching can be beneficial for anyone who needs some extra brain support, including:

-
Busy parents trying to manage schedules, families, and home organization
-
Students struggling with desk organization and task management
-
Professionals seeking support with task/project management, communication, and workplace organization
-
Business owners trying to keep juggling too many balls at once
-
Neurodivergent individuals trying to address the dishes that have been sitting in the sink for three months (among many other examples, DEFINITELY not a direct example from Cade's life)
-
+ more!
Important Note:
Our Commitment to Honoring Neurodiversity
Seeking out executive function coaching can feel vulnerable and challenging. At Loud & Clear Speech Therapy, we know there is no such thing as having one "right" way to do things, despite what many people might have told you. The "right" way is the one that works with your brain, not against it.
If you've tried making changes in the past and they didn't stick, that doesn't mean you didn't work hard enough - it just wasn't the right tool for the job. We're happy to open up our toolbag and find the one that works, together.

Loud & Clear Speech Therapy honors and respects all brain types and will never assume what goals you want to address or judge you for having a difficult time. Brains are a wild ride (including ours!). We're all in this together.
